5 tips for doing a great interview

  1. Know your CV

Read every issue, claim or event you document. In advance of the interview carefully and slowly think through each of these procedures in your mind. remember every detail of that event and your part in it.

By doing so you are refreshing your memory in advance of the interview and it will be fresh in your mind when asked. In this manner your response will be immediate, brief, with total recall and most of all, it will be credible.

  1. Be prepared with examples of your work. 

During the interview, you will probably be asked about specific work you have done in relation to the position. Re-read the job description. You may want to print it out and begin underlining specific skills the employer is looking for. Think about examples from your past and current work that show you have experience and success doing the work they require.

  1. Arrive to your interview 10-15 minutes early.

It is essential that you be on time for the interview. Not only does it show you are reliable, it also shows that you can plan ahead for unfamiliar situations. Being late for any reason will make you look unorganized and unconcerned.

Do not arrive more than 15 minutes early because it may confuse or inconvenience your interviewer. If you arrive to the location early, go for a short walk or review your interview materials while you wait outside.

  1. Explain why you’re a great fit for the position and the company. 

The interviewer needs to know how you will solve the business’s problems, so tell them why you will achieve well in the position if you are hired. Chat how your skills adequate the job description and what your first steps will be if you are hired. Moreover, use stories about your previous work to show how you’ll perform well at this company.
